Anxious America: Top ten cartoons of the week

There’s a lot of unease in the country at the moment. Whether it’s uncertainty over the impact of tariffs, fears over shuttered and decimated agencies, or unease over how he’s running the government, Donald Trump’s White House is forcing a streak of anxiety over Americans largely just trying to get by.

Nearly all our most-reprinted cartoons this week touch on some impact Trump’s Washington is having on folks. The most-popular was Dave Whamond’s Easter-themed cartoon about the sky-high price of eggs, which have only gone up since Trump took office. But I also loved Rick McKee’s cartoon about a couple on a picnic happy because their cartoon had nothing to do with Trump.

If only we could all live in such bliss.
